MOXSEA

MOXSEA MCP server

Connect Claude, or any assistant that speaks the Model Context Protocol, to your boat club in MOXSEA. Ask about bookings, members, the fleet and the money in plain language, and set up or change your club without leaving the conversation.

Server URL https://mcp.moxsea.com/mcp

You need a MOXSEA account with staff access to a club. The assistant signs in as you and sees and changes exactly what your account may in MOXSEA, nothing more.

What you can do

Prompts to try

Connect

Claude

Find MOXSEA in Claude's connector directory and click Connect. To add it yourself instead, go to Settings > Connectors, choose Add custom connector and paste the server URL above.

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http moxsea https://mcp.moxsea.com/mcp

Then run /mcp in Claude Code and sign in when it asks.

Other MCP clients

The server speaks Streamable HTTP and authenticates with OAuth 2.1. Clients register themselves through dynamic client registration, so there is no client ID or API key to set up. Discovery starts at https://mcp.moxsea.com/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource.

Sign-in and permissions

  1. When you connect, MOXSEA's sign-in page opens. Sign in with your MOXSEA account as you do in the app.
  2. MOXSEA asks whether to let the assistant act as you, naming the account you are signed in with. Choose Allow.

From then on the assistant works with your permissions: a club admin reaches the whole club, other staff the centers they work at. Areas your club has not subscribed to (charter, maintenance, agreements, leads) stay closed. If your club requires two-factor authentication, sign-in asks for it here too.

To disconnect, remove the connector in your assistant, or revoke its access in MOXSEA under Profile > Apps. A revoked connection cannot renew its access, and the access it already holds runs out within an hour.

Tools

Nine tools cover the whole platform. Six of them work on any type of record, so the assistant learns a type from describe_entity before it first uses it.

Tool What it does Access
get_me Who you are signed in as, and the clubs and centers you work in. Read
get_club_config A club's setup in one call: staff, billing profiles, boat categories, add-on modules, and for each center its seasons, tax rates, slot templates, membership tiers and services. Read
get_help MOXSEA's help pages, the same ones staff read in the Help panel: the guides to getting started and to moving over from another system, and how each screen of the Club portal works. Read
describe_entity The types of record there are, and for each one its fields, filters and rules. Read
list_entity Records of one type, filtered and a page at a time. Read
aggregate_entity How many records match a filter and what they total, over all of them, grouped by status, member, boat, product and more. Read
save_entity Creates a record, or updates one: only the fields given change. Checked by the same rules as the MOXSEA apps. Write
save_entities Creates or updates up to 200 records of one type in one go, such as tagging a list of leads or moving clients to another tier, each by the same rules as save_entity. Write
run_entity_action Does something to one record that is not an edit of its fields, such as sending a client or a skipper their welcome email, or creating the Stripe onboarding link for a billing profile. Write

No tool deletes anything. Deleting stays in the MOXSEA apps.

What it covers

Area Types
Club and centers club, center, billing_profile, tax_rate, product, season, opening_hours_exception, slot_template, center_resource
Fleet boat, boat_category, boat_season, boat_resource, equipment, issue, issue_option, checklist_question, maintenance_schedule, maintenance_task
Bookings booking, waitlist_request
Members and people member, co_member, membership_term, tier, staff, skipper, certificate, lead, lead_category
Services and communication service, post, event, broadcast, dashboard, guide_item and guide_category (the Club Guide members read in the app: documents, videos and articles, searchable by what they say), and explore_item (the places and routes a center recommends in the app's Explore, with how many members like them and their average rating)
Agreements, documents and alerts agreement_template, alert_rule, zone (the club's areas on the map that zone alert rules watch), document (every document the club holds for its boats, equipment and people, and when each expires), and read-only agreement and alert
Money and history invoice (a manual one is saved as a draft, for staff to issue), and read-only invoice_line, resource_transaction (the virtual account), audit_event (the audit trail)

Read-only types are the ones MOXSEA produces itself: invoice lines are issued, alerts raised and the audit trail written by the platform, so the assistant reads and totals them but never saves them. Money is always in the center's own currency, and revenue is excluding tax.

A file is never uploaded through the connector. A post's or an event's image, a Club Guide document's PDF, a video, an item's photos, the file of a document filed on a member, skipper, boat or piece of equipment and the proof of a member's certificate are given by a public https address that serves the file itself (a direct download link), and MOXSEA downloads it into the club's files: an image up to 20 MB, a PDF or a video up to 100 MB. A larger video is uploaded in the Club portal or linked from YouTube or Vimeo. A route's waypoints can come from a GPX file given the same way.
